The sport & fitness industry currently sits in the top 15 industrial sectors in the UK, contributing £39 billion to the economy, 1.9% of the total. The number of sport related jobs in the UK is estimated at over 400,000. The sector also has a large number of volunteers, with the estimated economic value of £2.7 billion. Additionally participation in sport brings health benefits to the nation, which is currently estimated at £11.2 billion.
By studying one of our sports courses you will develop the specific knowledge, understanding and skills required by the sector to be successful. You will experience a hands on approach to learning with the emphasis on doing including; running coaching sessions; preparing gym programmes; helping at sporting events in the local area. You will learn and forge friendships with people that share the same ambitions as you to succeed within this industry.
