Welcome to GCSE Citizenship, which you are planning on taking this September! In order to prepare you for the course, we have created some useful activities for you to give a go. Please read through the source provided and complete the questions.
One of the main themes which you will study in GCSE Citizenship is titled ‘Rights and Responsibilities’. Within this topic, you will learn all about the function of laws, who makes laws and who enforces laws. Furthermore, you will learn more about the rights that we have as individual citizens within contemporary society and how these have developed. For example one legal right, which we all have access to is a fair trial with a jury. When we start in September, we will look at this in more detail but for now, let’s look at some introductory ideas.
