Prepare for the next stage of your education journey
Welcome to our Kick Start to College programme! Having had disruption to your Year 11 GCSE study/exams, you’ll have had a 5 month break from learning by the time you join us. That’s a long time to be away from education and you’ll want to keep your brain active to achieve success in the next stage of your journey. This website contains resources for you to access, explore and study over the next few months. Just search for the subjects you plan to study and access the page or download the pack.
GCSE Courses
We offer over 20 GCSEs; some in subjects already familiar to you and some in completely new areas. Your pathway must include GCSE English Language and Maths if you do not achieve a grade 4/C in these.
A Level Courses
We offer 38 linear A Levels in 14 pathway,s underpinned by an employability focus, to help you identify the best combination of subjects for a particular career/university destination, whilst still providing plenty of choice.
Level 2 Vocational Courses
You can choose several subjects as part of your Level 2 pathway but must include both GCSE English Language and Mathematics if you have not already achieved a grade 4/C in these. These courses provide a practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a theoretical background.
Level 3 Vocational Courses
Each Level 3 vocational course lasts for two years and is the equivalent of studying 3 A Levels. Studying a full course of this size gives the best possible chance of progression and all students undertaking a Level 3 vocational course will be expected to study the full qualification.
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X
